THE PROCESS

Whether you know exactly what you want, or you have no clue, we will work together to arrive at your desired piece.

You can ask for "something like this" with a link to Pinterest/etc, and I can take it from there if you like!

Or we can discuss more detail about the species of wood, types of joints, stain/finish options, and any other personalized touches you're interested in.

Either way, the process goes something like this:

Planning & sketching the overall layout, dimensions, materials, & constraints.

Wood selection, considering: color, hardness, grain, thickness, live edges, imperfections & other unique characteristics.

Cutting and shaping the wood using various powered saws, drill bits, & hand tools.

Assembly using glue, hardware, or just press fits.

All surfaces and joints are finished with powered and hand sanding.

You can choose from a variety of stain colors, or leave the wood natural.

You also have the choice of satin, semigloss, or high gloss urethane as a finish.

All projects (large enough) get the [C] mark branded

in a discrete location, as well as the build year.
